The Weihenstephaner Vitus continues its success course of the past years, winning at least silver and gold in each and every competition so far. Also in 2019, the light Weizenbock again convinced the judges of the European Beer Star with its perfect flavors and aromas of citrus fruits, cloves and notes of banana. Combined with the finely bubbling carbonic acid, the result is a unique feeling in the mouth. The jury was obviously of the same opinion – and awarded silver.
Vitus gets silver, Kristallweißbier bronze!
The Weihenstephaner Kristallweißbier also proved its quality once again. Since 2005, the golden-yellow, finely prickling and sparkling wheat beer has been winning awards at various international beer competitions annually. The Kristallweißbier convinced the jury above all with its fine aroma and well-balanced body and was awarded the bronze medal – a great success!
Both beers have been known to prove their worth as two of the world's best beers over the last few years. Medals in almost every beer competition are proof of that.
Brewmaster Zollo: "This fills us with pride"
Brewmaster Tobias Zollo: “This fills us with pride and motivates us to continue striving for quality. A great compliment to all our employees.“ A total of 2,483 beers from all over the world took part in the European Beer Star competition, six percent more than the previous year. The specialties came from 47 countries – alongside big beer-producing giants like Germany and Belgium, entries were also submitted from exotic destinations such as Myanmar or Cambodia.
